Aesthetic Evaluation & Functional Diagnosis (Part 2)

Back in October I held part 1 of Aesthetic Evaluation & Functional Diagnosis where I taught students how to identify keys to facial and dental analysis. This week on November 8th, I will present part 2, where we will discuss communication steps between clinician and laboratory, to impart one's vision with diagnostic wax ups and composite mock ups. To register e-mail Nuree Kwon at: nkwon@jjkda.com

I am looking forward to welcoming a guest speaker for this part of the course! Dr. Ali Saad will join me to discuss case presentation techniques.

Dr. Saad is a full time cosmetic dentist in Birmingham Michigan. Dr. Saad currently serves as the official dentist for the Miss Michigan and Miss Michigan Teen USA pageants. In addition to practicing as a cosmetic dentist, he has written and published five books (www.dentalboardbusters.com) on the subject of the national dental boards. Dental Board Busters are the leading study guides for both dental and dental hygiene students who are pursuing board certification.

Custom Tooth Preparation (Part 1)

Custom Tooth Preparation

On Friday Nov 22nd, I'll be teaching part 5 of my 8 part course. To register e-mail Nuree Kwon at: nkwon@jjkda.com

I'm looking forward to embarking on the part of the course,"Mastering Efficiency in Aesthetic Dentistry" that focuses on Custom Tooth Preparation. Here we will learn how to use Restorative Space Management methods on all types of cases and how to create minimal prep design for each case.

The second half of this course there will be extensive lectures and demonstrations on how to use all these tools with an actual aesthetic case. Things have been moving along quickly in these lab courses!

Take a look at this great photo from our last installment on Aesthetic Evaluation and Functional Diagnosis. You can see me demonstrating with a student how to use diagnostic wax ups to display your vision for the perfect smile to a laboratory partner.

Part 3, on
