Dorothy Deon Exhibit

There's another incredible exhibition going on that I'm proud to say Jason J Kim Oral Design New York is sponsoring. Dorothy Deon's "Lumen et Vita: Splendid Constellationse" is an experience in the visual manifestation of faith and wonder. It is truly exquisite!

It runs from until Feb. 7, 2015 at the BBCN Bank Manhattan Branch located at 16 west 32nd st. New York, NY 10001.

Deon is a visual artist who graduated from Ewha Woman’s University and studied at Fashion Institute of Technology and Art Student League. She had more than 30 solo exhibitions and about 50 group exhibitions around the world. When she was young, she was an accomplished interior designer. But she did not give up her passion for fine arts.

As a devout Christian, she wants to create a glorious vision of God. In her works numerous dots in luminous colors form a series of circles or flowers. Her canvases are covered with the rhythmic movement of blissfully dancing colors and the waves of light spread far and wide. She adds texture and patterns to the surfaces of transparent film by luminous dots of myriad
colors. These small circles are composed of acrylic, sometimes gel, painting liquid, stained glass pigment and glitter. Thus her film “canvas” looks like a gigantic close up of a flower or dark sky filled with twinkling stars.

At the same time, her images of gardens, flowers, starry nights, and breath of life are arranged in 8, 12, 16 pieces of grid. In single or clusters, her images keep consistency of representing the glory and the harmony of the universe. Her biggest subject of life and glory on earth and heaven has been pursued for more than thirty years of her artistic journey.

The works are beautiful and I hope you can find time to visit the exhibit!!

Video Testimonials Are The Best Rob Saporiti

The most rewarding part of my job is when my clients tell me how happy their new smile makes them, and not just because they find the look more physically appealing, but because it gives them a renewed sense of confidence and inner happiness.

Take a look at this interview with my client and actor Rob Saporiti done during my website photoshoot. He looks incredible and I love the story about his girlfriend who had no idea he had his teeth done by me, even after 4 years of dating!

Weaving Space and Time

Always excited to support the arts!

That's why I work with the AHL Foundation and most recently  Jason J. KIM Oral Design New York Center supported the exhibit "Weaving Space and Time," featuring artists Misson Park, Renee Magnanti and Jangsoon Im.

This particular exhibit showcases spectacular work in the craft genre.

Take a look at Renee's body of work on her website HERE.

Renee Magnanti

Renee Magnanti

Renee keeps a craftsmanship, weaving technique (fork art technique), and her souse are from women’s craftworks in contemporary developing countries such as China, India, and West Europe countries.

Jang Soon is aware of Contemporary art elements such as a collage technique, duplication method, and using celebrities, and he mixes cleverly those contemporary elements with Asian historical scenes. Meanwhile Misoon Park collects images from all over the world and paints them in her wood board.

If you have a chance to make it over to the BBCN Bank Woodside Branch (5015 Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY 11377 anytime from now until January 5th to see this exhibition, don't miss the chance!

Jeff Koons and The Jason Kim Family!

JK9.jpg

I was so excited to finally get to see the highly publicized Jeff Koons exhibit at the Whitney Museum this weekend. Even better - I got to do it along with friends, family and colleagues!

I decided to organize an outing with members of the Jason J Kim Dental Aesthetics and Jason J Kim Oral Design NY family to join my actual family for a tour of the Jeff Koons: A Retrospective Exhibition - It wanted to thank all my colleagues for all their hard work and dedication. NYC offers such a wonderful opportunity to see the works of some of the most influential artists out there today.

What an interesting exhibition. I recommend anyone in the NYC area take time to walk through it. It has so much joy and you can't help but smile throughout the entire exhibit but it also gets you thinking about art as a marketplace.

Much thanks also to our tour guides provided by the AHL Foundation! Sun You  led our Korean speaking group. She is an accomplished artist herself with work in galleries and museums internationally. Kyunghee Pyun, Ph.D, led our English speaking group. She's an assistant professor at State University of New York, Fashion Institute of Technology and has also worked as a visiting assistant professor in the department of history of art and design at Pratt Institute, in Brooklyn.
